The place, spread over 5 grounds, has hundreds of people including women handling more than thousands of clothes on a daily basis. The steady sound of water being splashed and clothes being washed starts as early as 6 am.
The rhythm of Chennai’s 115-year-old Dhobi Ghana, where over a thousand people, earn a living by doing the city’s laundry; has remained unabated over the years.
