Care for a drive along ECR and some relaxing cocktails over long Sunday conversations? Well, we do! Take our advice and head to Sunshine Café this weekend. It is located right on the beach and has a fantastic setting. Add some kick-ass cocktails and food to the mix and you got a great place to hangout with friends and family.
Sunshine Café is located in Panaiyur and is latest to join the upcoming list of beach resto-bars in the city. It has an outdoor seating in beach shacks, indoor AC seating and outdoor terrace seating overlooking deep blue sea. In the evening, they also lay out tables out in the open garden overlooking the beach. The massive property churns out some heady cocktails, beers, red wine and mocktails.
The food menu comprises of Continental, Oriental and Indian cuisine. You can find everything from Chicken Wings, Beef Steaks, Grilled Fish to Vegetarian Tempuras, Dumplings, Paneer Tikka and more. We started our meal with their refreshing Mocktail called Sunshine, which had fresh orange juice blended with some strawberry crush topped with some Sprite.
This was followed by a creamy and flavourful Cream of Chicken soup. Among appetisers we tried their Vegetarian Bruschetta, Chicken Tikka and American crispy fried corns. Each of these dishes were very well prepared and served in generous proportions. We also tried out their punchy cocktails and we suggest you keep an eye out for their names!
Our main course comprised of Singapore Noodles and Roasted Chicken and Mushroom Jus served with mashed potato and grilled vegetables. To end our meal on a sweet note, we finished the fabulous meal with Brownie and Ice-cream.
Sunshine Café opened its door this July end and has been receiving a steady flow of food and liquor enthusiasts.
