The year 2018 is surely the year of resto-bars in Chennai. We have lost count of the number of places that have sprung in the city’s burgeoning nightlife scene since January. The latest to join the herd is Take 2, a cinema-themed resto-bar, which is a revamped in the premises of Treebo Cine City Hotel in Kodambakkam. With their thematic interiors,they intend to bring our favourite stories and characters to life.
From the ambience to the food it’s all about every movie you have ever adored. Wolverine, Rajinikanth and Marilyn Monroe - all adorn the walls of this new place. The names of the dishes and cocktails are also based on movies and it is quite interesting to try and guess the movie name. The menu has a bit of everything from Asian, Continental Mexican to desi – you can take your pick. There are noodles, kebabs, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, salads, fries, kari vada, tikkas and much more
They have interesting cocktails on offer like the tequila-based Once Upon a Time in Mexico, rum-based Darth Rum and the gin-based Austin Powers.
They have great deals on food and liquor over weekends.
