If you venture out to the Besant Nagar beach for a walk in the evening or a casual meet-up with friends, do not miss this cute, little ice cream truck parked near the promenade. As you walk a little ahead of the Mash café, it is lodged at the intersection and has been getting a massive footfall over the last month, since the time it launched. The Tickle Truck is a wonderland for all those who love popsicles and ice-creams. It is an initiative by Barath Jaiyanth S. along with his friends Jesvin Prabu and Shanmuga Pandiyan and the ice-creams are created by chef Koushik.

The popsicles at The Tickle Truck are unique in terms of flavours. We tried out the Jumping Jaamuns, which had bhujia sev combined with blackberry and some masala; it was more savoury than sweet and quite novel. We also tried the Enigmatic Charcoal, an activated charcoal black ice cream topped with desiccated coconut and Mystery More, a spicy buttermilk popsicle combined with kara boondhi and dusted with red chilly. We have never tasted anything similar to these two popsicles. They also have Mango, Coffee, Fresh Pomegranate juice and Muskmelon and Ginger flavoured popsicles.

They also offer Liquid Nitrogen ice cream varieties – from traditional flavours of gulkand, carrot halwa and therrati paal to red velvet, salted caramel and chocolate; they have it all. Therrati Paal, a modern ice-cream version of Paal Khoa, might blow your mind away. It is pure amazing! The Tickle Truck also serves ice-cream sodas in flavours like orange, strawberry and green apple.

The popsicle prices start from INR 30.
