Let’s accept it! Who doesn’t love a bowl of piping hot noodles in a spicy sauce? It is comfort food for most millennials. From being an integral part of our dinner or lunch, it started occupying an important space in our kitchen as a snack, in the form of instant noodles. But the level of MSG and other preservatives in the tastemaker make it quite an unhealthy option. Nithin Kalkiraju, one of the founding partners of the newly-launched restaurant, No Strings Attached (NSA), says that they are all set to change the notion and offer myriad options of freshly prepared noodles in healthy sauces.

Noodles in home-style South Indian sauce

“We source all the ingredients locally and prep    are five kinds of sauces. One can opt for noodles in tangy and spicy South Indian flavoured sauce, all-time favourite Manchurian sauce, paneer makhana sauce, Thai green curry sauce or Italian red sauce with herbs. In addition, we have other interesting offerings like noodle stuffed samosa, tortilla wrap and pizza topped noodles and veggies,” says Nithin. The vegetarian eatery has also kept the pricing nominal as it intends to attract school and college children. They also have a live kitchen, where you can witness your favourite dish being prepared in front of your eyes.

Along with Nithin, the eatery has two other founding partners – Arun Kumar Kannan and Manikandan. “There is no MSG or any other preservative used in our dishes. This makes it a much healthier option than many other places offering the popular fast food,” adds Nithin. He also informs that the eatery was set up after six months of intensive research and the menu was planned accordingly. “As for the name, well we were thinking of something quirky that the younger generation can relate to. No Strings Attached seemed like an apt choice,” signs off Nithin.

NSA is located at 101 Dr.Muthulakshmi Salai (LB Road), Adyar and they can be reached at 044 4852 7478
