Fashion designer, Ashwin Thiyagarajan launched his flagship store in Adyar recently. The store showcases couture creations handcrafted by Ashwin and his wonderful team. From heavily embroidered lehengas to breezy gowns for women, and from dapper tuxedos to stylish sherwanis for men, the store will house a lot of exquisitely designed pieces. Ashwin has also launched his new bridal collection for the season.
The store itself is worth checking out for its beautiful interior decoration. With old GI pipes for hangers, antique furniture, vintage chandeliers, terracotta flooring and a lot of stunning wall murals, the store is one-of-a-kind. The space includes a spacious trial room with life-size mirrors for clients to adorn themselves in the designer’s unique pieces.
“I am someone who loves the mere sight of flowers; leave alone their fragrance and their contribution to the aesthetics of a place. My collection is inspired by my admiration for flowers. From peonies to baby’s breath, I have incorporated all kinds of flowers in my designs in the form of motifs and patterns. For men, I will be using a lot of unconventional elements like sheer, frills and drapes,” explains Ashwin Thiyagarajan about his launch collection.
