There is nothing more positive than coming to a cool workspace that motivates you to work and if you are a startup, then you ought to opt for a place like that. The city has seen a spurt in co-working spaces over the last couple of years. However, it is the plush and swanky workspaces that caught our attention. Here are three spaces that are so amazing that you will fall in love with the idea of coming to work.
Workenstein
Located in Perungudi and Sholingnallur, the thing that strikes you immediately upon entering Workenstein is that the lobby has a cool cafeteria with bar stools and accent chairs. You might actually forget for a second you have entered a workspace and fancy yourself in a posh hotel property. The fact that the entire lobby is thickly carpeted and the access to the work rooms are based on key-cards might reinforce this. But such is Workenstein. The co-working space also has a concierge service, high-speed Internet, Wi-Fi and even laundry on demand.
The same group that owns Workenstein also has another co-working space in Alwarpet, Workafella. The workspace puts a lot of emphasis on the design aspect and both the brands have facilities like pods with screens and projectors to double up as conference rooms, soundproof rooms and marker walls for writing during brainstorming sessions. It also conducts regular blood donation camps, business events, fitness events such as zumba and other employee engagement activities regularly.

The Grid
If a workspace comes up in RA Puram, then you would expect a certain level of sophistication. But the moment you approach The Grid, the massive place will blow your mind away. It is architecturally rich and aesthetically sound. The Grid is a 1970s bungalow that has been given a modern facelift. The moment you step into the workspace you feel like staying back here for long. The two-storeyed, 3,300 square feet workspace has beautiful art adorning its walls. A major attraction is a six-foot terrarium by Shaun Dsa on the ground floor. A repurposed, colourful community table created by Vincent Roy calls out for attention. And then there is a mural by Sameer Kulavoor, art by Parul Gupta, Harsha Biswajit and a striking sculpture by Claymen. The co-working space is meant to be a creative workspace and is the brainchild of performance artist and art collector Justine de Penning.

WSquare
This is a dedicated co-working space for women launched on Women’s Day this year at Adyar. It is situated in a residential area and in the vicinity of daycare centres. It is equipped with Wi-Fi, security, power back-up, yoga sessions, food delivery and spa treatments. The chairs are ergonomically designed to aid pregnant women. There’s also a concierge service, which women can avail for groceries and home-cooked meal takeaways. There is a doctor on call service available along with regular workshops for working women.
