After debuting with a gigantic store in the Express Avenue Mall in Royapettah last year, Swedish multinational clothing-retail giant H & M is all set to open its second store in Chennai. The second outlet will be launched on October 13 (Friday) at Palladium in the Phoenix MarketCity premises in Velachery. Seeing the great reception of Chennai fashionistas towards the brand and increasing footfalls at the EA outlet, H & M decided to launch its second outlet in Chennai within a year. The Swedish clothing giant has been on a massive expansion spree across the country.
Started as a single womens’ wear store in Västerås, Sweden, in 1947, today, the H&M group has a strong global presence. The brand has been growing phenomenally in both online space and brick and mortar stores, in existing as well as new markets. H & M intends to make sustainable, good-quality fashion accessible to as many people as possible.
The brand is known for its contemporary and minimalistic clothing line for women, men and kids.
With the new outlet in Velachery, the brand intends to target the urban and fashion-conscious crowd in south Chennai.
