There is nothing that a plate of crispy, hot jalebis topped with some warm milk can’t cure! For that matter, digging into a plate of freshly prepared kachoris with some spicy and sweet chutney is always satiating.
Keeping this in mind, the Desi Klub franchise owners in Chennai came up with a new concept recently. They have set up an authentic Rajasthani snack kiosk, Kesaria in the same complex as Desi Klub and the place has been buzzing with people craving for North Indian specialties.
They offer a dal kachori, pyaaz kachori, kadi kachori, club kachori with sabzi, samosa, jalebi with kesar malai doodh. While pyaaz and dal kachori are absolute Rajasthan specials, club kachoris are from Kolkata. Each one of these kachoris stand out for their taste and flavours. Kadhi kachori has the kachoris dunked in Gujarati kadhi. Club kachoris are bite-sized puris (they give around five) stuffed with urad dal and served along with spicy potato curry. The jalebis are thin that are crispy outside and soft inside. Kesar malai doodh is served in small earthen pots (kulhad) sprinkled with pistachios and almond slivers.
Kesaria has priced all the kachoris, jalebis and kesar malai doodh nominally and it is perfect place to savour some desi snacks.
The kiosk is soon planning to launch Malpua and Rabri as well.
