The running enthusiasts in the city are used to waking up at the crack of dawn for marathons. They often start around 5 am and are over by the time the time sun starts playing a spoil sport. Often, we have heard people complaining that they can’t wake up in time for these marathons. For all those night-birds, here is a special 3 km night marathon. Mirchi Neon Run is back with a bang on September 24. You don’t have to be a pro runner for the event, just register with family and friends to have some fun. It starts from 6.30 pm from YMCA Nandanam.

It is India’s first neon-theme based run where individuals run or walk at night covered in neon accessories and body paint/powder. Prepare to be wonderstruck as you glide through different ‘glow zones’ throughout the race that brings your neon to life.

At the finish line is a neon party with an incredible light display and do some Zumba with top RJs from Radio Mirchi and popular DJs.  The last edition saw a massive crowd dancing to some of the biggest hits of Tamil and Hindi cinema. The neon-theme only adds an element of magic to the entire event.
