Co-working spaces have become a popular concept. Chennai has seen a spurt in co-working spaces over last one year. While many of them have been sprouting at OMR, there are quite a few nice ones located in the heart of the city. The newest entrant in the co-working space arena is The Mayflower, a beautiful property set up in an old heritage bungalow on Burkit Road in T Nagar. The Mayflower also houses an open space to host events and workshops, two retail boutiques and a Bohemian work café. The entire place is the brainchild of Siressha Madhavi and Tejasvi.

The bungalow has a beautiful Mayflower tree in it its backyard that is filled with red flowers in the month of May and is the inspiration behind the name of the place.

The co-working space called WoCo has capacity of around 40 people on the first floor and 30 on the ground floor. The air-conditioned facility includes WiFi, beverages, free parking, and a lounge room with a TV. The place also has badminton and basketball courts and is also pet-friendly. To top it, there are loads of books and board games, if you are looking to take a short break from work or want to stay on post work for a game of chess with colleagues.

The event space is beautifully decked up with eco-friendly décor and vintage furniture. It also gets plenty of natural light and is ideal choice for workshops, open mic sessions, team-building exercises as well as wedding, birthday and anniversary parties.

The café in the space is decorated tastefully with chandeliers, wall art and has a Mediterranean feel to it, thanks to its blue windows set against white walls. The menu comprises of pizza, pasta, soups, salads and desserts. It’s a perfect place to catch up with a client or a colleague on a workday.

The 4000 sq feet co-working and event space right in the heart of the city is surely one place you would love to go to work every morning.
