Handcrafted goodies are a great because they have a bit of makers’ heart and soul in it. Be it a delicious cupcake, a pretty earring or a rich weave, handmade beauties leave a lasting impression. Craft aficionados, shopaholics and foodies will find it hard to resist the 18th edition of By Hand, From The Heart: Makers Market. The marketplace will have stalls by homemakers, artisans and craftsmen, home entrepreneurs and many others. The bi-annual event which has started out in 2011 has managed to become a huge celebration of handmade products.

The two-day event will also see a series of food talks.These talks will be addressed by six artisanal food producers, makers, farmers and entrepreneurs, through tasting sessions, food pairing and cooking demonstrations.

About 46 makers, crafters, design entrepreneurs, food artisans and farmers from all across India, Doha and Dubai.

The popular names that will be a part of the event include Chinmaya Arjun Raja, founder of the pickle brand Panakam-Tradition in a Bottle; Suguna Rangaswamy, a dollmaker from the city; Smriti Sain, the principal designer and founder of Chiaroscuro a leather design studio from New Delhi; Bengaluru-based jewellery designer Mrinalini Cariapa of Flames Of The Forest, Janapada Khadi, a trust that comes up with hand spun, hand woven, natural dyed ,manually tailored khadi garments directly from weavers;Divya Vigneshwaran of city-based apparell and accessory brand Hastha  and many such wonderful brands.
